First book in Slovenian

This is my third post today but I think this is an important anniversary in our history. We celebrate the 500th anniversary of birth of Primož Trubar who happened to publish the first book in Slovenian language in 1550. It is amazing that in spite of always being a nation living in another country (either Austria, Italy, Hungary or Yugoslavia) we managed to keep our own language and culture. I think it would have been much different if there was no written word in Slovenian.

Picture of Mr Trubar is also on the Slovenian 1 Euro coin. I think that he is much more important person than France Prešeren, our great poet who's date of the death is a national holiday. Weird, isn't it? Let's celebrate the life instead! Such anniversaries remind me that it will be a museum night on 21st. I hope to join some events, it might be interesting and fun.
