Zoom in

Sometimes when I walk through the city center, I become a bit sad. I love those old buildings, their details, hidden gardens and backyards. Yesterday was one of those days when I remembered my grand granddad who was one of the founders of the first Ljubljana's library. He walked the same streets as I do today. Sooner or later we perish and only buildings remain, reminding us of the past. Or even those are gone, replaced by some new, modern ones. I like the old town because it reminds me of what there was, of people who walked the streets and lived there. Eventually this place is a part of my present and past as well. Sometimes there's a surprise waiting for me around the corner. This time it was in a form of a beautiful black-white light that I spotted in one of the windows. I wouldn't have it in my home but I like it anyway. A lot. Interesting enough that it was standing in an office, not a home.

I know what you mean, Pina, because we live in what was my grandparents' house so there's a lot of my past here, but, of course, my present as well.

That was a nice post. I am sorry about your teacher. I have had the same thing happen - twice - where I was thinking about someone and then I found out it was the same day.
I hope your day was blessed.
