It was so relaxing over the weekend. I was away from home most of the time but at the same time it felt like being home - I was with my family.

Saturday was a working one. My grandmom, at her age of 81, is still working like she was 21. I have never been like her but I admire her for her energy and diligence. I have never met more hardworking person than she is.

On 8 March, the holiday of all women, my mom invited me for a walk. (On the photo above is the flower I pinned on to the little present for her.)

We took the old paths, the paths I walked on when I was in my teens. The paths around my parents' weekend house. A pleasant walk, it felt like spring. (On the photo below is the copy print of the dinosaur's footprint.)

We had a cup of tea in the cottage and later a lunch with dad. My brother joined us a bit later. The weekend full of family memories passed quickly. And finally I felt content and happy again. (On the photo above is the Ljubljana moor, like this place is called; I live in one of those little villages seen on the photo. Ljubljana can be seen on the upper left side. That does sound like a nice weekend. So cool that you have a holiday for women. I've never heard of anything like that.
The photo on your masthead with the lavender colored flowers is truly beautiful.
This holiday is actually the International women's day which is celebrated all over the world. It was more popular when Slovenia was still a part of Yugoslavia. Today lots of women celebrate the Mother's day on 25 March, too.
The lavender colored flowers were used as medicine for the liver in the old days. It is a bit poisonous. It looks very fragile and one of the first flowers to be seen in the woods.
