Kusudama

It is nice to know that people get inspired reading my blog. I have always thought that my life was boring compared to other people's lives I know. You know - wake up, work, cook, wash dishes, iron, clean, read, hike, sleep. I am sure I have told you that one of my favorite books is Illusions by Richard Bach. One of my favorite quotes is that you should give up your boredom if you want to start living your life. I am aware that this is absolutely true but most of the time I am too lazy to give up my boredom. :)I finished kusudama ball the other day. When I go to work it is still dark and when I come back home, the light is very poor these past few days. So I took this photo of kusudama using artificial light - my little Ikea lamp. This way kusudama looks as odd as is a book of Siri Hustvedt that I am reading right now.

Yesterday we talked about Golden ratio at the course. I have learned how to draw it, and it felt so good to be in touch with mathematics again. It is such a mystery and at the same time great fun, too. I just love it. And promissed patterns? We have to draw one for homework. A simple one...

Hi Pina,
I have been reading back through your blogs and some of the lovely food you've mentioned - can you please tell me what salted milk is?
Thanks!
Emily.

My English, I know... :(

Hi Pina,
Thanks for your reply :) About how much salt - a pinch? And is the milk warmed?
Thanks again :)
Emily.

Emily, if you had in mind the potatoes cooked in milk, then you add a bit more salt than just a pinch - potatoes will soak most of the milk when they are baked and you want to have salty dish.

It is best if you try potatoes when they are cooked, and then add some salt before you bake them if they are not salty enough.

If you had any other dish in mind, just let me know and I will try to help you further.

Hi Pina,

I love the kudusama ball. Do you know if I can find an online tutorial to make it? Thanks!

Hvala za odlično idejo! Med vikendom smo te rože delali z otroki. Nismo jih zlepili skupaj ampak v vsako zapičili zobotrebec in jih povezali v šopek. Enostavno iz zelo lepo! Same fajn stvari počneš! Zdaj si ogledujem tele tvoje ptičke iz filca :-).
