Spring in my mom's garden

We live only 6km from each other but my mom's garden is so much more colorful in the first days of spring. Spring comes a few days earlier into her garden because the soil is much more dry where she lives. One of the reasons for this is also that I actually live in the village (well, it could be called suburbia of Ljubljana as well) while she lives almost in the city center (which was about 20 years ago Ljubljana's suburbia) where is much warmer. Besides, her garden is neat and well maintained while mine is a bit wild and deserted. :)You might get bored with the photos I am going to post here on my blog but I can't resist to show you the arrival of spring in my homeland. It is so beautiful and so promising.

Pina, I enjoy seeing your photos. It has been really eye-opening to me....We are far behind you in spring bloom, even though our latitude is not that different from yours. But I guess it is all because we have cold air coming down from Canada, and maybe you have warm air coming up from the Mediterranean? I have one hyacinth, and two daffodils. My peas have come up....but it was freezing here again last night....

I love your photos so much and I definitely never get bored with them. Spring looks so nice on them, I hope it is the reflection of your heart too ;-).

So beautiful. I would guess also that your mom has lived in her house a lot longer than you have lived in yours, so she has much more time in the garden invested.
