Hope

These past days have been so peaceful for my heart and soul. I managed to see the bright side of life, I made a few plans for the days to come. Decided what I want to do in the near future. The fortune wheel has finally turned. This doesn't mean that the future will be as happy as I wish it to be, but you know, we always hope for the best...
At the beginning of a year I decided that this year should be a year of completing the things in my house. Easier said than done, of course. On Friday my roof windows have received new shades. They block the heat, which is most important for me as the room gets too hot during the day. One more tick on my list. Something to be happy about.I was surprised on Monday morning when I was allowed to go with a group of pupils on an excursion. You know, when teachers think that the excursion is organized for them, then there should be someone who takes care for the pupils. Guys and girls behaved themselves, I had lots of fun listening to their comments. Some of them were even interested in nature, which was very positive. I hope to lead the excursions myself in the next year, which means lots of learning about the birds and other living creatures until then. One more thing to be happy about, one more thing to look forward to.
It is raining today. The plants in my garden will be rejoiced by this! This year I am late with everything, and also some seeds will probably never grow into plants. Maybe they have been eaten by birds anyway. In spite of this, something spicy and red grows in my garden already. Something to be eaten... Also this means hope for the future, hope that other plants will bear fruit as well. As well as all the good deeds I do every day.

I am so glad you're starting to feel a little better, Pina! All you need is one more thing to look forward to...and then one more thing...and then one more thing. One step at a time, my friend :)

We call those roof windows "skylights." We don't have any, but we've been talking about having one put in the kitchen for years. I love how they add so much light and help with ventilation.
