I had to try them, those new shoelaces for my walking boots... ;)
Yesterday I spent the day in the mountains again. Not that I was going very high, but it was far away. It was more like a trek than some kind of climbing. But that's what I usually do. Trek. That's where I went to, that peak at the far distance:The grasslands were full of flowers. Again I stopped for sour milk and talked to the herdsman. It is 2040 m high, Jezerski stog, but very far away from where I parked my car. I walked more than 10 hours, stopping only now and then. There were crowds going up our highest mountain and I was happy when I finally turned to another path where people rarely walk. I was at peace with myself and everything seemed alright.August has always been a month when I was on my travels. It was always a month when life was nice and I was happy. I guess that also this year August will be my month. The lull before the storm, I guess.

Such beautiful scenery, Pina! I hope there isn't a storm coming for you, though.
One day I'd love to make one of those walks with you. This walk reminds me of one Geoff and I did in Norway, catching the bus to our remote starting point and we had 9 hours to get to the bus pick up point at the other end. We didn't dawdle at all - made it with only minutes to spare. Such an incredibly satisfying feeling. You have a lot of achievement in your life, you do a lot, I envy you the nature on your doorstep. xx
:) Yes, I wonder what will happen, but I guess it will not be very pleasant. I will let you know for sure. ;)
Oh, Victoria, I am sure that one day we will go on a walk like that together. :)
