Chess

I know, I haven't been around much, as not much is happening in my life. Not much interesting or new. I hang at work quite a lot, I read from my little booklet, I don't cook anymore. I do clean my home regularly, wash the dishes every day, iron my clothes. Events keep happening in my life and I really wonder how everything will end. It will be a happy ending anyway, whatever happens.Yesterday I went to an inn nearby where I live. It is actually a log house and it is very cozy inside. When I entered, Ž was playing chess with one of his colleagues. I have learned how to play chess from my dad and I used to play it quite a lot when I was in my teens. By the age of 17, exactly. I would probably lose each game if I played it today. I enjoyed in the games played yesterday, so much more as an observer. In the meantime my granddad celebrated his 91th birthday, telling me to show Ž that life is beautiful, and lots of snow has fallen, so we started to feed the birds on a regular basis. Every day the same amount of sunflower seeds. This weekend I will be counting birds again, this time waterfowl. As each year, for the fifth year in a row. It feels good to do something useful for the nature, and even better, because I know that I will not be the only one. There will be around 200 others with their binoculars walking down the rivers and around the lakes and ponds, trying to spot as many waterfowl as possible. This is an event that is talked about as long as the first spring bird counts start. And that will be soon, really soon.

That is a neat photo of the chess board. I've never been good at chess, though I wish I was. Happy 91st to your grandad. If you share his genes it would seem that you'll have a long (and hopefully happy) life ahead of you.

Thank you, Emily. If life keeps to be so stressful as it is right now, I doubt I will live that long. :)

Thank you!

Work? Well, it is something we do voluntarily over the weekend and in our spare time... :)
